BRITNEY BIDDING

Britney is a trombonist from the Central Pennsylvania area. She has spent six years at the Pennsylvania State University studying bass trombone with Professor Mark L. Lusk. Britney graduated from Penn State in 2020 with a Bachelors degree in Music Education (BME) and recently graduated again from Penn State with her Master's degree in Music Theory (MA).
While at Penn State, Britney has performed in a variety of ensembles, including Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Philharmonic Orchestra, Centre Dimensions Jazz Ensemble, and the Marching Blue Band. She also had the opportunity to teach students of varying age ranges first through practicum experiences during her education degree and recently as a graduate teaching assistant for the music theory department. In addition to school ensembles, Britney has participated in trombone events such as the Cleveland Trombone Seminar and the International Trombone Summit. While at home, she gigs on tenor trombone with local groups such as the M&J Big Band, Looker, and the Keep Out Brass Band.
Britney plans to teach music in an area school district while continuing independent studies in trombone and music theory. She is passionate about sharing her love for music with the next generation of musicians and is excited to be returning for the second edition of the International Trombone Summit!
