This scholarship is given in honor of Frances Fox, a talented musician and educator. She was one of the first female trombonist to graduate from the Eastman School of Music. Mrs. Fox played in the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, performed independent gigs, and taught music lessons. She moved to Maryland, where she served as Parkland Middle School's Director of Bands for over thirty years.
